Warszawa24h / cityoneminutes.org

Warszawa24h is a project that was realised during the summer of 2009 in Warsaw as part of the global cityoneminutes.org initiative. Altogether four of my short films were accepted and recently published on their website. The method was to choose one place or thing in the city and film it during one hour during the day and the same 12 hours later (e.g. at 1pm and 1am). The resulting material was cut in exactly one minute long films. Below are links to my clips.

Lost & Found

Completed: May 2007 – Helsinki, Finland
Title: Lost & Found ( flickr.com/photos/wojtekmejor )
Media: digital photography
Client: self-published

This is a series of photographs that I was working on throughout the winter of 06/07 in Helsinki. I noticed people loose hundreds of gloves on the streets here, and the interesting thing is that often other people, upon finding, pick them up from the floor and place them somewhere visible. In many cases this makes the gloves look very dramatic or comic.

Locating Helsinki

Started: January 2007 - Helsinki, Finland (ongoing)
Title: Locating Helsinki ( locatinghelsinki.wordpress.com )
Media: webdesign, digital photogrpahy
Client: self-published

A blog established for the aim of documenting different places and aspects of the Helsinki Metropolitan Area and promoting alternatives to commercially oriented ways of presenting the character of a city. This project is accompanying my final thesis for my BA degree at the EVTEK Institute of Art and Design.
Included on the page is the project 12 steps to Helsinki - a series of photographs taken 12 steps from the signs marking the administrative boundaries of the city of Helsinki creating an interesting image of the city´s periphery.

In August 2007 I’ve held a presentation of the project within the Helsinki Summer School - a three-week academic event organised every August by the nine universities in the Helsinki area. The collaboration resulted in 18 new posts in the Place Blog created by students of the Planning a Growing Urban Region course.

Chechu Zeta

Completed: 4th September 2006, Madrid
Title: Chechu Zeta
Media: digital photography, print
Client: Chechu Granado Zambrano

The idea in this actor´s dossier is to have on each page a posed and stylised photo combined with one or two natural ones. This way I was hoping to create a more true image of Chechu´s personality and help him to present himself in a proffessional context.
